Canco Park Monarch Waystation Spring 2018.
When is a garden more than a garden? When it is contributing to ecosystems and restoring a pollinator habitat. That's what we are doing in Canco Park. The Monarch butterfly is in danger of becoming extinct if we don't help them.
Thanks to Monarchwatch.org, gardeners are learning to go pesticide, herbicide & fungicide free using native and pollinator friendly native plants. The results are beautiful sustainable gardens that give back to wildlife.
In the spring of 2018 Canco Park was recognized by Monarch Watch as a Monarch Way Station. Canco Park is doing its part to save the Monarch. Look for programming on butterfly gardening and raising Monarch butterflies.
