Canco Park Conservancy, Inc. is dedicated to building, preserving and protecting native wildlife habitat in our urban environment and incorporating nature based education to grow academics, health & wellness, self expression, mindfulness, and promoting environmental sustainability. As an urban pocket park in an area of densely populated Jersey City, Canco Park is an important space for connection with nature. Canco Park is the only public greenspace serving the Journal Square area which supports 30k residents making the park an invaluable resource.

Our belief: Its our belief that providing park goers with a visceral experience in a natural environment fosters connection, empathy, equity, inclusivity and respect for each other and the natural world furthering improvement in the lives, health and welfare of all visitors.
